efftiveness is based heavily on

Iompletely agree that shadow priest efftiveness is based heavily on gear, perhaps moreso that most otherlasses. After all, aside from the DPS you spit out, the amount of healing and mana return you provide is based on the amount of damage you do. Therefore, you're going to want to put out as mh DPS as youan without overaggroing to help support your group. That being said, I've seen shadow priests run the lower end of Karazhan with as little as +600 to shadow damage and still be plenty efftive. Sie you are still pre-40 (I assume, sie you don't have Shadowform), I would pk up tailoring, if you haven't already and level that sker up. Youan make most of the best gear in the game for shadow priests in at least 7 slots with that (3-pie Frozen Shadoweave set, 2-pie SpellstrikeBattlast set - yourhoe, Girdle of Ruination, loak of the Blk Void). Most of that stuff is Tier-4 equivalent or better, so youan set yourself up nely to start in Karazhan. Oe you pk up a few more pies in Karazhan (nk, brers, gloves and weapon spifally), you'll be set for any 25-man. Basally, what I'm trying to say is that youan get Raid-worthy gear without having to raid to get it. If you put the time into making your gear, you'll be more than prepared when you're ready to tkle end-game material. I've played a mage and shadow priest and I like my shadow priest mh more. Ofourse there are people who would tell you the ext opposite. If you like your priest, stk with it. You won't be disappointed.
